The Firm

Responsibility belongs
in the relationship.

A specialist hospitality task force firm for Director-level and senior leadership assignments.

What makes Velmore
a deliberate choice.

The value of an interim leader is revealed in the decisions they make, the team they support and the condition in which they leave the department.

Velmore’s model connects three responsibilities: a qualified agent who can assume the role, predefined goals that describe the work, and oversight from the firm that holds the agent accountable.

Meeting Velmore’s performance expectations is a condition of continued employment. That expectation sits behind the assignment; it is not left entirely to the property to enforce.

Three parties.
Different responsibilities.

The property sets the operating context

Ownership and property leadership identify the business priorities, reporting relationships and authority available to the assigned leader. A temporary appointment does not make every decision theirs to take.

The agent assumes the leadership work

The agent is there to uphold the department: make decisions within the agreed scope, support the team and work toward the predetermined assignment goals.

Velmore remains accountable for its agent

The firm provides the additional layer of oversight and employment accountability that distinguishes the relationship from an introduction alone.

Specialization has boundaries.

Our placement remit begins at Director level. We are built for leadership responsibility, rather than hourly staffing or broad volume recruitment.

The title alone does not define the assignment. A department director in a full-service hotel, a leader in a smaller independent property and an executive with responsibility across several operations may need very different experience, authority and support.

Specific role coverage, suitability and availability are established through an engagement discussion.
